Biography
Nicholas Piper is a Nuclear Science and Engineering Ph.D. student at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He has experience as a Teaching Assistant for the Radiation Physics Laboratory and the X-ray Laboratory. Additionally, he performs research for the Fusion Research Center at Georgia Tech in collaboration with General Atomics.
Current Research
Nicholas’s primary research interest is in edge pedestal physics in tokamaks. He is currently studying the consistency and possible causes of a drop in toroidal rotation velocity just after the transition from Low-Mode Confinement to High-Mode Confinement.
